This would have been a great product however, I found the pieces of multiple adult brown cockroaches. The roaches were dead but roaches have been know to carry disease causing bacteria, which I found unsettling. I know pests are apart of our everyday but I feel like there should be a bit more quality control when purchasing a product. For peace of mind I "cleansed" the material which was unbelievably time consuming.

Great alternative to using perlite

I just started using this instead of coarse perlite in my grow with amazing results plus I love that I don't have perlite collecting on the tops of my pots looks a lot cleaner
